I’m taking this summer as my chance to SLOW down and pick up a good book, usually in the form of my Kindle! Being a busy working mama to a toddler means it’s easy to let the days go by without taking time for myself to just sit down and relax for a moment with a good book.
I love reading as a relaxing outlet instead of TV because it helps relax my brain, depending on what I’m reading can be a great source of education, and helps me avoid screens (especially before bedtime).
This is my summer reading list:
💭fiction & for fun
Local Woman Missing — psychological thriller! literally couldn’t put this one down
Hotter in the Hamptons — a classic, east coast summer read!
One Golden Summer — this book is up next on my list and seems like the *perfect* summer read
❤️🩹health & self help
The Fifth Vital Sign — a deep dive on mastering your cycle & optimizing your hormones
Why We Sleep — SUCH an interesting book on why we need to sleep & what the purpose of sleep is, plus the book covers a bunch of interesting topics related to sleep like caffeine, REM sleep, and dreams
Fiber Fueled — learning more about gut health and the benefits of fiber for optimizing the gut microbiome! so interesting
BONUS: Life Changing Salads — of course using it all summer long for healthy salad recipes
🤰🏼motherhood
Taking Charge of Your Fertility — all things reproductive health, women’s health, natural birth control
Mother of All Secrets — ok disclaimer: this is actually not a book solely on motherhood. this is a fictional book about a new mom joining a “new moms group” when suddenly the group leader goes missing, but lots of poignant ideas on motherhood and womanhood
Remaining You While Raising Them: The Secret Art of Confident Motherhood — a must-read for moms in any season of life
